Holy Cross Hosts Lighting Fair

Holy Cross’ Presidential Task Force on the Environment will host an Energy Saving Lighting Fair, in which students, faculty and staff can purchase a variety of high-quality energy-efficient lighting products at deep discounts from an Energy Star certified vendor. About 100 Holy Cross Students Take Part in Blood Drive

Jackie Esperti ’12 donates blood as part of a blood drive hosted by Holy Cross’ Purple Key Society and the American Red Cross. From 2 to 8 p.m., about 100 Holy Cross students dropped by the Hogan Campus Center Ballroom to donate blood for those in need. All the donors received a free American Red Cross water bottle. “Purple Key Society is interested in giving back to the community, so we host three blood drives per year,” said Jen McGill ’12, a member of Purple Key Society.

Art Group Claims New Space to Display Student Artwork

This year the Student Government Association and the Student Art Society, formerly known as Gesso, collaborated to create a new social space for students on the first floor of Hogan, next to the Cool Beans coffee shop. The area gives visual arts students an opportunity to showcase their work.

Holy Cross Students Attend Conference on Naval Academy Science and Engineering

Robert Nazarian ’12 and Jeffery Delisio ’11  pose with Astronaut James Lovell, commander of the Apollo 13 moon mission.

Nazarian and Delisio are currently attending the Naval Academy Science and Engineering Conference in Annapolis. The students are learning about cyber security, transportation (energy grid) and disaster preparedness.

This is the first year Holy Cross students have been invited to the event.
