Alumni From Different Generations Meet

Chelsea (Arbutina) York ’06 and Gerry Cox ’85 stand beside Joe Daly ’37, P98, 90. York got married on May 25 in New Seabury, Mass. The next day as she and her uncle, Gerry Cox ’85, were hanging out in New Seabury, “this gentleman walked by in full Holy Cross garb — and we happened to have an HC banner handy!” says Cox. The 97-year-old Daly told them that he was the only living member of his class. “Joe joined us for a cup of coffee while we recovered from a rocking wedding!”

The Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) held its annual dinner on May 15 at the Westin Boston Waterfront, and three Holy Cross alumni were front and center: the MBA’s secretary, Christopher A. Kenney ’87 (left), keynote speaker Chris Matthews ’67 of MSNBC’s “Hardball” (center) and the MBA’s vice president, Christopher P. Sullivan ’71 P02 (right).

Springtime on the Hill

Holy Cross Student Attends May Day Breakfast

Matt Heffner ’16, of Barrington, R.I., son of five term Rhode Island State Representative Mark Heffner, was among 1,100 people who attended the 25th annual May Day Breakfast at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet for breakfast with Rhode Island’s Senator Jack Reed.
