Students learn how to recite and perform musical rhythms using percussion instruments in Sarah Grunstein’s Fundamentals of Music class in Smith Courtyard. On sunny days, Grunstein, assistant professor of music, is known to have her students perform their own compositions on a portable piano in the courtyard.
