24 midshipmen and Marines from the College of the Holy Cross Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) participated in and helped out at the 5th Annual Veterans Memorial 5k and Fun Run. The students have been helping out at the race since its inception in 2004. In addition to the runners, Midshipmen acted as road guards, parking attendants, and also provided a color guard for the opening ceremonies. All proceeds from the race went to Veterans Inc., a Worcester-based non-profit organization that provides supportive housing, employment services, computer training, food bank, retreats, wellness groups and outreach services to thousands of veterans and their families each year.
