Newly Expanded Coffee Shop on Lower Campus Bustling

Students wait in line for their morning jolt of caffeine at CB2. Over the summer, the coffee kiosk at the entrance of Stein Hall on lower campus was replaced with this spacious café that offers ample seating. An expanded menu includes coffees, teas, pastries, and grab-and-go items such as salads and wraps. Since opening at the start of the semester, the register has logged nearly 25,000 transactions, according to Martin Dudek, assistant director of production and planning in Dining Services.

Students Pack Rehm Library for Fishbowl Discussion on Occupy Wall Street

A fishbowl discussion titled “Why Occupy Wall Street” drew many students, faculty and staff in Rehm Library. The event was sponsored by Student Programs for Urban Development and Pax Christi. Mary Hobgood, associate professor of religious studies, Joseph Lawrence, professor of philosophy, David Schaefer, professor of political science, and Justin Svec, assistant professor of economics, were in attendance to debate some of the key issues of the Occupy movement.

Jazz Ensemble Performs Classics from the Great American Songbook
