Alumni Career Services Holds ‘Alumnae Helping Alumnae Succeed’ Event

At the “Alumnae Helping Alumnae Succeed” event presented by Alumni Career Services, almost 50 alumnae attended workshops on how to reenter the workforce and redirect one’s career, as well as a panel discussion about competing in today’s job market. Sara True Pacelle ’82, founder and principal of NorthBridge Career Partners, was co-chair of the event and one of the day’s workshop presenters.


Keynote speaker Carol Fishman Cohen, far right, co-founder of iRelauch and co-author of “Back on the Career Track: A Guide for Stay-at-Home Moms Who Want to Return to Work,” also served as moderator at the panel discussion, “What it takes to compete in today’s job market.” Panelists included, from left, Elizabeth Fente ’82, vice president of human resources for ABN AMRO Holdings USA; Mary Halpin ’81, vice president of human resources for personal and workplace investing at Fidelity Investments; and Kate Donovan ’81, managing director of ManpowerGroup Solutions – Recruitment Process Outsourcing.


Alison Cheung ’06, of Westford, Mass., attended the career services event. Robert S. Wally ’68, assistant director for Alumni Career Services, noted that at the lunch following the morning discussions, several alumnae told him they had found the day’s discussions “informative and energizing.”
