National Coast Guard Museum Association Honors J.D. Power ’53 for Outstanding Service

J.D. “Dave” Power III ’53, founder of J.D. Power and Associates, holds the 2016 Alexander Hamilton Award, and is flanked by Richard Grahn, president of the National Coast Guard Museum Association on the left, and Admiral Robert Papp, 24th Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard on the right. Power, who served as an officer aboard the Coast Guard icebreaker EASTWIND during the mid-1950s, was recognized for his efforts and success in establishing the National Coast Guard Museum, which is being constructed on the historic downtown waterfront in New London, Conn.
