On June 14, members of the Holy Cross football team helped set up Worcester’s Day of Play. Held at Elm Park, the annual event is designed to engage children (ages 3 to 10) in various forms of “play,” and to highlight the importance of playing by offering a vast range of activities for kids—everything from building rockets to performing in a play. Holy Cross student, Caroline McCabe ’15, was also at the event, having interned with Day of Play for the summer.

Alison Mangiero, lecturer of political science at the College of the Holy Cross, took her Constitutional Law II class to an oral argument at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. by Justice Clarence Thomas ‘71. The students were present for the opinion announcement in McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission—the influential campaign finance decision that was handed down the week prior. After the argument, Justice Thomas met with the students to answer their questions, both about the argument and the Constitutional Law, as well as his time at Holy Cross.
