Alumni Return to Lend a Helping Hand

Crusader alumni and families returned to Mount St. James to welcome and help the Class of 2019 move in to their residence halls.

Students Are ‘Wooed’ By Worcester Vendors and Businesses

Students meet with local Worcester vendors and businesses during the “WooMe Worcester” event on the Hogan Courtyard. During this annual event, Holy Cross students connect with various local vendors and businesses to learn about the variety of opportunities available in the Worcester county. Vendors this year included Blue Jeans Pizza, Worcester Election Commission, Worcester Art Museum, Millbury Federal Credit Union, Worcester Airport Limousine and the EcoTarium, among others.

Incoming Students Embrace Odyssey Orientation

Incoming students gather to celebrate Holy Cross’ Odyssey orientation in front of Dinand Library. Odyssey is a one-week program open on a voluntary basis to all first-year ALANA (African-American, Latin American, Asian-American, and Native American) and international students as well as American students living abroad, first-generation college students, and students for whom English is their second language. Odyssey serves as an introduction to Holy Cross composed of a mixture of workshops, field trips, discussions, and volunteer and social programs.

Marching Band Prepares For Upcoming Performances

Members of the Holy Cross Marching Band are back on campus practicing routines and formation in preparation for the upcoming year. Under the leadership of Steven Riley, band director, students are prepping for pep rallies and half time shows, including Holy Cross’ Homecoming where they will pay tribute to the 40th anniversary of the release of A Night at the Opera by Queen.

Holy Cross Community Members Gather with PepsiCo Team

Holy Cross Athletics and Dining staff gather with members of the PepsiCo implementation team including Anne Fink ’85, chief operating officer, PepsiCo North American Foodservice. PepsiCo recently became the official beverage supplier at Holy Cross. The new 5-year partnership features PepsiCo’s comprehensive beverage lineup of Pepsi carbonated soft drinks (including Mountain Dew), Starbucks bottled iced coffees, and Gatorade sports drinks, among others. The partnership further expands to a wide range of snack products, including Frito-Lay, Quaker and other PepsiCo food products. PepsiCo brands will be provided in all campus dining areas, athletic venues, and in the approximately 35 vending machines on campus. Under plans to be executed over time, PepsiCo will also deliver customized marketing programs and unique concession options, as well as provide innovative on-campus recycling initiatives.
