Samuel G. Freedman, an award-winning author, columnist, and professor, gives a reading as part of the Working Writers Series in the Rehm Library. He writes the On Religion column for The New York Times.
Leah Hager Cohen, W.H. Jenks Chair in Contemporary American Letters and visiting professor of English department, introduces Freedman. Cohen was a student of Freedman’s when she attended the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
Freedman signed copies of his recent book “Breaking The Line: The Season in Black College Football That Transformed the Game and Changed the Course of Civil Rights.”
